About The Position

The Room Attendant maintains hotel rooms and the building to provide a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors. The role involves cleaning guest rooms and surfaces, changing linens, replenishing supplies, handling room keys and carts, and inspecting rooms for cleanliness and appearance. The position is part-time and pays $29.98 per hour; it is not eligible for tips or service charges or a discretionary performance bonus.

Requirements

Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead to clean, and work in confined spaces.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and the operation of various cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift bedspreads weighing up to 50 lbs.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers.

Responsibilities

Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using appropriate cleaning tools and agents.
Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for the use of cleaning agents.
Strip and make beds and change bed linens.
Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
Vacuum rooms and empty trash.
Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
Sign for and retrieve room keys, take them to assigned rooms, restock the heavy cart, inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance, and indicate when rooms are complete.
Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Help coworkers with their duties and work as part of a team.
