HCVR Room Attendant (Part-Time)
About The Position
The Room Attendant works in the Hotel Housekeeping department and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of hotel guestrooms and guest areas. Duties must be completed promptly and thoroughly in accordance with Caesars Standards of Operation. The role involves cleaning and servicing rooms, communicating professionally with guests, assisting Housepersons, reporting maintenance and safety issues, and updating room information using the housekeeping tracking system. The position requires working independently in a fast-paced environment and meeting the standard of cleaning a vacant room in 30 minutes or less.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate a handheld device.
- Must have a friendly, upbeat, outgoing personality.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter who can work without close supervision, work quickly and accurately, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to clean a standard vacant room in 30 minutes or less.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, grip items, work in small shared spaces, and walk and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds.
- Must be able to work around dogs and other pets.
- Must be able to operate equipment including a vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom, and work with various cleaning chemicals without issue.
- Must be able to tolerate varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms and guest areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replacing supplies, and cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios.
- Use chemicals according to directions and familiarize oneself with material safety data sheets.
- Keep the housekeeping cart stocked, organized, and clean.
- Report maintenance issues through appropriate channels.
- Document and secure lost and found items.
- Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist Housepersons by delivering guest requests and picking up used guest items.
- Conserve energy by closing shades and draperies and adjusting the air conditioning and heat in unoccupied rooms.
- Report hazardous conditions in the work area or involving equipment to Hotel Housekeeping leadership.
- Use the housekeeping tracking system to update room status, assignments, and progress efficiently and on time.
