About The Position

The Room Attendant is part of the Housekeeping team and helps create a memorable guest experience by preparing and maintaining guest rooms with attention to detail and care. This role supports the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas and contributes to guests’ comfort during their stay. Experienced housekeepers may have opportunities to grow into supervisory or management roles, including Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, or Executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort and hotel cleanliness.
• Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked.
• Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest areas.
• Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following the standards set forth in the Green Program.
• Practice safety standards, remain aware of hazards, and properly report hazards when found.
• Respect guests’ property.
• Care for equipment responsibly.
• Report to work on time and according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper standards for issuance of rooms.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
