About The Position
Hancock Claims Consultants specializes in ladder assist and property inspection services, working directly with insurance agencies to support efficient claims management. The company provides nationwide claims inspections, including catastrophe response and direct inspections. The Roof Field Inspector works as an independent contractor in Hancock’s network. The role involves inspecting steep and high roofs, assessing exterior and interior property damage, and conducting underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed.
Requirements
- Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
- Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
- Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
- Lidar-equipped device or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.
Nice To Haves
- Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
- HAAG Certification.
Responsibilities
