About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property inspection services for insurance agencies. Field Roof Inspectors work as independent contractors, assessing steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior property damage, and conducting underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to help assess property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role requires safely inspecting roofs of different types and working in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• A Lidar-equipped device or the ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
