About The Position
Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services to insurance agencies. The company offers nationwide claims inspections, including catastrophe response and direct inspections. As a Field Roof Inspector, you will work as an independent contractor conducting assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior damage, and completing underwriting property inspections. Using inspection technology, you will help assess property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed.
Requirements
- Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, especially steep and high roofs.
- Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
- Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- A reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
- A Lidar-equipped device or the ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.
Nice To Haves
- Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
- HAAG Certification.
Responsibilities
