About The Position

The Roll Form Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining roll‑forming equipment used to produce metal components for residential and commercial garage doors. This role ensures that steel coils are fed, formed, and cut to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Operators monitor machine performance, perform routine adjustments, inspect finished parts for accuracy, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. The position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Shift: Monday - Thursday: 7am - 5:30pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and optimization of roll forming lines, including precise mill gapping, guide alignment, and press/feeder speed calibration to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Interpret and apply part and roll tooling prints, making accurate equipment adjustments to meet exact specifications.
  • Proactively identify and address damaged or worn components to minimize downtime and maintain operational integrity.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to recommend and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and product quality.
  • Operate and fine-tune critical equipment, including: Un-coiler systems, Steel straighteners, Feeders, Lubrication systems, Presses, Conveyors, Mills (including gapping and profile adjustments), Guide systems.
  • Execute and support product changeovers, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to production schedules.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, cranes, and material handling devices safely and effectively to support manufacturing operations.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team success.
