Rocket Propulsion System and Plume Flowfield Modeling Support

Radiance Technologies•Beavercreek, OH

About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking support for the execution and analysis of rocket-based propulsion system designs and their associated exhaust plume characteristics. The work uses Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force (JANNAF) community-standard software and in-house analysis tools to develop inputs and model solutions for rocket propulsion performance metrics for identified target systems, and to initialize exhaust plume flowfield and radiometric signature predictions. The role includes establishing benchmark cases, executing appropriate modeling tools, and validating results against available measurements. Modeling studies conclude with technical reports and briefings for team members, customers, and other stakeholders. The work supports the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Work may take place at NASIC, Radiance facilities, or a combination of both.
