About The Position

Qualis LLC is seeking a Missile Modeling IR Plume Engineer to develop high-fidelity threat missile signature data packages for use in modeling and simulation tools and media. The engineer applies modeling and simulation methods, engineering principles, and mathematical algorithms to accurately represent expected missile-flight phenomenology. The role requires the ability to work with little or no direct supervision, contribute as part of a product delivery team, and meet time-critical delivery schedules. Employees must work onsite daily; remote and hybrid work are not available. The position focuses on threat-model phenomenology and infrared (IR) signatures, including research into IR signature predictions and simulation models. The engineer supports data production for MDA Ground Test Modeling and Simulation, coordinates with TMC engineers on software requirements for threat-modeling tools, and ensures stakeholder requirements and data-quality needs are met. The posting describes Level 2 and Level 3 qualification paths.
