About The Position

Threat Systems Engineering (TSE) develops and delivers high-fidelity threat modeling products for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and its Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Its work includes models and simulations used to stimulate BMDS element models, kinematic missile modeling, infrared signature modeling, data production and analysis, and maintenance and sustainment of the TSE software baseline. TSE is a cornerstone element of the Threat and Advanced Simulations Development (TASD) contract. This entry-level engineer role develops high-fidelity threat missile signature data packages for use in modeling and simulation tools and media. The engineer applies modeling and simulation methods and standard engineering and mathematical algorithms to accurately represent expected missile-flight phenomenology. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with little or no direct supervision as well as collaboratively on a product delivery team, and the ability to meet time-critical delivery schedules. The position is onsite daily at Schriever Space Force Base; remote and hybrid work are not available.
