About The Position

The Road Supervisor oversees daily transportation operations, ensuring drivers follow company policies and safety procedures while providing on-road support to maintain reliable and efficient service. The role works closely with drivers, dispatchers, operations managers, and other team members to address operational issues, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

The position combines fieldwork, on-road supervision, and coordination with transportation operations staff. Work schedules may vary with operational needs and may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends. The role may also require travel between locations and outdoor work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and respond effectively to time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to travel between locations and work outdoors as operational needs require.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in transportation, fleet operations, driver supervision, or a related field.
• Knowledge of transportation safety procedures and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct road observations, driver evaluations, and safety inspections as needed.
• Respond to road calls, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and other transportation-related emergencies.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and customer complaints; document findings and communicate them to management.
• Verify driver readiness, route coverage, and adherence to established procedures.
• Identify operational concerns and recommend improvements to safety, efficiency, and service quality.
• Maintain accurate records of road observations, inspections, incidents, and other required documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
