About The Position
The Part Time RN, with support from the Assistant Director of Nursing, provides professional nursing care to people supported in the Residential program. The Nurse advocates for people on their caseload and participates in support plans and additional medical support to act in their best interests. The role authors and implements prescribed treatment plans, supports staff education and certification in AMAP requirements, oversees medication administration, assesses individuals’ ability to self-medicate, conducts special medical screenings as needed, provides health education, and helps maintain medical records.

- Strong communication skills to establish and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Author and implement prescribed treatment plans for individuals on the assigned caseload.
- Help educate and certify staff in AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) requirements.
- Oversee medication administration according to prescribed instructions.
- Assess individuals’ ability to self-medicate.
- Conduct special medical screenings as needed.
- Provide education on weight management, diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, and other relevant areas.
- Assist in maintaining and updating related medical records.
- Advocate for people on the caseload and participate in support plans and additional medical support.
- Collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
