RN Off Campus Emergency Department - Lacey
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Off Campus Emergency Department team in Lacey. The RN provides specialized emergency nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach and the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role is 0.9 FTE, with night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends. MultiCare’s Off-Campus Emergency Departments provide neighborhood-focused emergency care at community locations across Washington. The team includes experienced physicians, nurses, and clinical staff who deliver efficient, compassionate, comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year of emergency nursing experience is required; the posting also lists two years of full-time RN experience in an ER or comparable experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
