About The Position
Union Health is an independent, not-for-profit integrated health system serving West Central Indiana and East Central Illinois. The RN-UHR FLOAT role is part of a Magnet-designated organization that emphasizes nursing excellence, quality patient outcomes, collaboration, evidence-based practice, and professional growth. The unit is led by Nursing Care Manager Sydney Caldwell and Director Jennifer Powell. The registered nurse works with physicians or managers to identify patient needs, perform routine physical assessments, contribute to care plans for predefined patient problems, support patient education and independence, respect patients’ rights, follow organizational policies and department protocols, and assist physicians with special procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program.
- Hold an Indiana RN license.
- Hold BLS certification.

- Previous RN experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the physician or manager to determine patients’ needs.
- Complete routine physical assessments systematically using common assessment skills.
- Contribute to plans of care for predefined patient problems.
- Respect patients’ rights, including the rights to information, privacy, confidentiality, and refusal of care.
- Assist with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and department protocols.
- Assist the physician with special procedures.
