About The Position
The Cardiac Rehab RN provides patient care in Union Health’s Cardiac Rehab department, which supports people recovering from cardiovascular events or procedures. The department offers comprehensive rehabilitation services, including tailored exercise programs, education, and emotional support, to promote heart health, improve overall well-being, and reduce the risk of future cardiac events. The nurse works with physicians or managers to determine patient needs and contributes to care planning while providing compassionate, high-quality care to the Wabash Valley communities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program.
- Hold an Indiana RN license.
- Hold BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous RN experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the physician or manager to determine patients’ needs.
- Complete routine physical assessments systematically using common assessment skills.
- Contribute to plans of care for predefined patient problems.
- Respect patients’ rights, including the rights to information, privacy, confidentiality, and refusal of care.
- Assist with patient education to promote self-care and independence.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and department protocols.
- Assist the physician with special procedures.
