About The Position
The Patient Sitter supports patient safety and comfort while patients are in the hospital by monitoring and assisting them in a safe and respectful environment. The role works with patients and care team members, maintains awareness of room safety features, and notifies nursing staff of patient needs or changes in condition. Patient Sitters support hospital units and contribute to compassionate, high-quality patient care. The position includes structured orientation, department-specific training, and support from experienced healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to remain attentive and responsive during patient monitoring.
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare or patient-facing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
