About The Position
The Patient Sitter supports patient safety and comfort while patients are in the hospital by monitoring, supporting, and caring for them in a safe and respectful environment. This role reports to the UHR Director and supports hospital units as part of a collaborative care team focused on patient safety and high-quality patient care. The position provides exposure to clinical environments and patient care settings, along with opportunities to develop patient observation and safety awareness, communication, understanding of hospital workflows, and de-escalation skills. Training includes structured orientation and department-specific instruction, a supportive team environment with experienced healthcare professionals, and ongoing guidance in patient observation and safety practices. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
