About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. The position is based at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The hospital includes a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, a Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, a Children’s Therapy Unit, and a 24-hour Emergency Department.

The position is listed at 0.9 FTE on night shift, with the schedule to be determined.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Two years of experience in an acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
