About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join a hospital-based team. The nurse will use specialized training, knowledge and nursing care in a multidisciplinary environment, with opportunities to participate in clinical decision-making, collaborate with colleagues and develop professionally. The position is based at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The role is listed at 0.9 FTE, on nights, with a schedule to be determined.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Two years of experience in an acute care setting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and following hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
