About The Position

Avante at Boca Raton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee the facility’s day-to-day nursing activities during the assigned tour of duty. The supervisor ensures that nursing care complies with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as requirements set by the Director of Nursing, and works to maintain the highest degree of quality care for residents.

Requirements

Current, active RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
At least one year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related healthcare facility.
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to residents’ age-related needs.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel, and the general public.
Leadership and supervisory ability, patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to handle difficult residents.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during the assigned tour of duty.
Ensure nursing activities comply with applicable standards, guidelines, regulations, and facility requirements.
Help maintain the highest degree of quality care for residents.
Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary to provide quality care.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel, contributing to teamwork.
Communicate information concerning residents’ conditions.
Incorporate new methods and principles into existing nursing practices.
