About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory Clinic provides direct patient care in an assigned department or unit and collaborates with the healthcare team under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The nurse assesses patient needs and guides patients toward appropriate care plans to support the best possible outcomes. The role follows registered-nurse standards and scope of practice, completes all steps of the nursing process, and follows Legacy Health System standards for patient assessment and transfer procedures.

Requirements

• Education as required by licensure.
• One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing residency program in content, curriculum, and duration.
• Additional clinical experience requirements may vary by department.
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Current applicable state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or a degree in progress is strongly preferred.
• BSN may be required for specific assignments.
• Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.
