About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital, where caregivers provide a complete continuum of care, including emergency services, rehabilitation and outpatient care. In this ambulatory nursing role, you will support the OB/GYN team by conducting women's health triage. Obstetricians and gynecologists provide comprehensive prenatal care, preventive health screenings and general gynecology, with access to specialists in areas such as infertility, high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic cancer.

The position works 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Caregivers may travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
• One year of recent experience as an RN.
• LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience may substitute for RN experience for specified current Cleveland Clinic caregivers transferring to an RN role within the same ambulatory setting, or transferring from a clinical role in the same specialty area into an ambulatory area.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
