About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse Ambulatory Clinic provides direct patient care in an assigned department or unit and collaborates with the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The nurse assesses patient needs and guides patients toward appropriate care plans to support the best possible outcomes, while following the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses and established Legacy Health System standards.

Requirements

• Education as required by licensure.
• One year of registered nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing residency program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
• Additional clinical experience requirements may vary by department.
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Current applicable state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
• Experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Responsibilities
