About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY. This role involves providing direct bedside nursing care to pediatric pre-operative and post-operative patients, collaborating with healthcare teams, and educating patients and families.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital setting
Most recent acute care experience within the past year
Experience with physical assessments, medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
Telemetry monitoring and post-operative care experience required
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification required
AHA BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

Strong pediatric nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric pre-operative and post-operative patients
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Start IVs, change dressings, and assist with catheter insertion and wound care
Monitor patient vital signs and recognize/report adverse reactions promptly
Perform physical assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care planning
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, discharge instructions, and post-surgical care
Maintain accurate patient documentation, medical charts, and EMR records
Ensure adherence to infection control standards and hospital protocols
Participate in discharge planning and patient transition of care
