About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Pediatric ICU RN for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing direct, high-acuity care to pediatric ICU patients, monitoring and managing critically ill children in a trauma center setting, administering medications and interventions, performing comprehensive patient assessments, responding to emergent situations, collaborating with the multidisciplinary ICU team, documenting care using EMR (EPIC preferred), and educating/supporting families. The position also requires ensuring compliance with ICU protocols, safety, and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Pediatric ICU experience
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Center
• Strong critical care and emergency response skills
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification
• AHA BLS Certification required
• Pediatric Critical Care Nursing
• High-Acuity Patient Management
• Emergency Response & ICU Protocols
• Medication & IV Therapy Administration
• Ventilator & Life Support Monitoring
• EPIC Documentation (preferred)
• Family Education & Communication
• Strong Clinical Judgment & Decision-Making

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-acuity care to pediatric ICU patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Respond to emergent situations including code events
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICU team

• Educate and support families of critically ill pediatric patients
• Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, safety, and infection control standards
