About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY. This role involves providing direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans. The position requires close monitoring of patients and equipment, accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of Maternal and Child nursing experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
- Active New York State RN License required
- Primary Source Verification from NYSED required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA PALS Certification required

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric ICU
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions closely
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures and patient monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor vital signs, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other critical care equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients’ families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, infection control policies, and patient care protocols
