About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY. This role involves providing direct bedside nursing care to pediatric pre-operative and post-operative patients, administering medications, performing various nursing procedures, monitoring vital signs, operating medical equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The position also includes patient and family education, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to safety protocols to support a patient-centered care environment.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution.
Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital setting.
Most recent clinical experience must be within the past year.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric pre-operative and post-operative patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Perform dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV starts.
Monitor patient vital signs and report adverse reactions or condition changes promptly.
Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as needed.
Interpret and document clinical assessments and patient measurements.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on discharge planning and continuity of care.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate patient charts, medical records, and EMR documentation.
Adhere to infection control procedures, nursing standards, and patient safety protocols.
Support a patient-centered and family-focused care environment.
