About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN – Wound Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY. This position involves conducting focused wound, ostomy, and continence assessments, developing and revising wound care treatment plans, and providing care for complex wounds, pressure injuries, and ostomy patients. The role also includes monitoring and documenting patient response to treatments, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and educating patients, families, and staff on wound prevention and care. Additionally, the position requires participation in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits, ensuring proper use and management of wound care equipment and supplies, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Wound and ostomy care experience
- Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- Active New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS Certification
- Wound Care Certification (CWOCN / CWON / CWCN / CWS / WCC)
- Wound, Ostomy & Continence Care
- Complex Wound Management
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning
- Infection Control & Prevention
- Patient & Staff Education
- EMR Documentation (EPIC preferred)
