About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and are supported through open communication and professional development. The position is based at Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The role is 0.6 FTE, with a night shift schedule of two shifts per week and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Certification in a specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
