About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Post Surgical/Ortho Unit at Highpoint Health Sumner provides specialized post-surgical care to adult and adolescent patients. The 24-bed unit cares for patients recovering from a range of procedures, including general and orthopedic surgeries and colectomies. Nurses use advanced skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment that calls for quick decision-making, adaptability, and teamwork.

The RN uses specialized plan-of-care interventions and helps innovate patient care, providing meticulous post-surgical monitoring and individualized care plans to support patients’ recovery and well-being. This is a full-time, day-shift position. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Current State of Tennessee or multi-state Registered Nurse licensure.
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or RN Diploma in Nursing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.
