RN M/S Tele Float Pool - 36hrs. Day Rotate and EOW
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Tele Float Pool. This position requires the nurse to be willing to float to 8 different units within the hospital. The schedule involves rotating shifts (Days/Eves/Nights) and working every other weekend. The role is responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. The patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse duties in an acute mental health unit, and non-vented patients in the ICU who are transfer ready. The hospital has a total bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 during night shifts.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS certification
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location
- 2 years of experience working as a Traveler
- Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
- TR Band experience
- Ability to perform Cardiac Drips and Reading Tele Strips
- Willingness to float to 8 different units
