About The Position

This is a 36-hour night shift position for a Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse on Pingree 5. This is a new 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit caring for adult medical patients. The clinician to patient ratio is 4 to 5 patients per 1 RN. The nurse must be able to read cardiac telemetry strips. Floating and rotating shifts as needed to cover open night shifts are required. Day rotate positions will rotate a couple of shifts per month.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in one location.
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler.
• Ability to read cardiac telemetry strips.
• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult medical patients on a telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
• Float to other units as needed.
• Rotate shifts as required, including covering open night shifts.
• Participate in day rotations a couple of shifts per month.
