About The Position

This Float Pool RN position requires flexibility to float to 8 different units within the hospital, primarily Med/Surg Tele areas. The role involves cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. The patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health unit patients, and non-vented ICU transfer patients. The position requires a willingness to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts, including some weekend rotations.

Requirements

Active Massachusetts RN License.
AHA BLS certification.
2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location.
2 years of experience working as a Traveler.
Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours.
TR Band experience.
Ability to perform Cardiac Drips and Reading Tele Strips.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow).
Perform Cardiac Monitoring.
Manage Cardiac Drips.
Read Telemetry Strips every 4 hours.
Provide care for ED border patients.
Serve as the medication nurse in the acute mental health unit.
Care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU.
