RN - Float Pool
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Float Pool team. The RN will use specialized nursing knowledge and training to deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary approach, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role involves ongoing organization and evaluation of patient care, collaboration to improve care quality and patient experience, and fostering learning among patients, families, staff, and other healthcare team members. The position is 0.6 FTE, with two 12-hour night shifts per week. Current or recent ICU/PCU experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- Two years of experience in an acute care setting.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current or recent ICU/PCU experience.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating it on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and members of the healthcare team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patients’ autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
