About The Position

This Float Pool RN position requires flexibility to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units. The role involves comprehensive cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals, interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours, and managing cardiac drips. The nurse will also care for ED border patients, serve as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients ready for transfer from the ICU. The hospital has a total of 371 beds, with unit bed counts ranging from 8 to 41. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights. Rotations may include 1 to 3 shifts to Nights per contract. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location.
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler.
• Telemetry monitoring skills.
• Ability to measure intervals and interpret strips.
• Ability to perform Cardiac Drips.
• Ability to read Tele Strips.
• TR Band experience.

• 2 years of experience preferred.
