About The Position

This is a Labor & Delivery/Post Partum (LD/PP) Registered Nurse position. The unit is a 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit that includes Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, Newborn Nursery, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 Antepartum rooms. The average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors. The clinician to patient ratio is L&D 1:2-3 Evals, 1:1 Active Labor, Magnesium gtt or EPIDURAL, and PP 1:3-4. The unit has 5 LD Rooms, 12 PP, 2 OR’s, 2 RR, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds.

Requirements

• 3 years minimum experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
• Experience with Circulating and Newborn Care
• Current Massachusetts RN License
• AHA BLS certification
• NRP certification
• EFM certification (renewed every 2 years for L&D)

Nice To Haves

• AHA ACLS certification
