About The Position

Nemours is seeking an RN II to join its Endocrinology team in Pensacola, Florida. The RN II is responsible for program development and management, including smooth day-to-day program operations and administration. The role manages, coordinates, and participates in administrative and clinical activities related to a specific program or specialty, and works collaboratively with leadership to develop policies and procedures consistent with program objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or current enrollment in a BSN program with completion required within 12 months of hire.
Florida RN license or a Compact license that includes Florida.

Responsibilities

Provide care to patients within a specific population, using the nursing process to deliver and evaluate care and applying knowledge of growth and development, pathophysiology, and family dynamics.
Develop and manage activities for an assigned division-specific program or specialty; make decisions about clinical problems and follow departmental policies and procedures.
Plan, develop, and implement program goals and objectives in conjunction with leadership.
Continuously evaluate program objectives and implement changes as needed to meet or revise them.
Oversee day-to-day program operations and administration, including running the program, submitting reports, directing staff, training, and scheduling.
Plan and conduct staff meetings to ensure compliance with established practices and keep associates informed of current standards.
Develop appropriate training and orientation programs.
Compile and maintain records, reports, and documentation of program activities for program evaluation.
Document all aspects of nursing care delivery appropriately.
Provide leadership, staff education, and support to division nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.
