RN Hospital Liaison (Sign on Bonus)
About The Position
Legacy Hospice is seeking a self-motivated, passionate RN Clinical Liaison to support hospital- and medical facility-based outreach. The role identifies new referral sources and maintains relationships that increase hospice census and preference for hospice services. The liaison uses clinical knowledge, empathetic communication, and marketing abilities to educate referral sources, families, and prospective patients about hospice services, and serves as a hospice resource to referral sources to support excellent patient and customer service. The posting advertises a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The stated average pay range is $90,000–$105,000 per year; actual compensation depends on relevant experience and position responsibilities and is confirmed after the interview process.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered registered nurse license.
- At least one year of sales or marketing experience in healthcare.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff to ensure understanding of hospice services.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
- Willingness to drive, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare preferred.
- One to two years of hospice or palliative care marketing experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify primary decision makers and proactively build positive working relationships with members of the medical community and partners.
- Promote hospice patient care services through regular visits that reflect the hospice’s quality of care and capabilities.
- Build the hospice brand as the preferred provider in the service area and support agency growth and census management goals.
- Make regular, planned calls to obtain referrals and build census among existing and prospective referring physicians, facilities, hospital and skilled nursing facility case managers, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Assist the hospice in determining patient eligibility, as appropriate, based on hospice knowledge and training.
- Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to explain hospice services and philosophy and obtain consents for care.
