RN Hospital Based Float
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a float pool staff Registered Nurse to support a variety of acute care departments at Deaconess Hospital. The RN uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care within a multidisciplinary approach. The role is part of MultiCare’s effort to develop a best-in-class nursing organization where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly, receive professional support, and understand the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.9 FTE, with 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends. Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region, with trauma, chest pain, stroke, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatal intensive care, bariatric surgery, inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating it on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
