About The Position

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care according to patient needs, and evaluates patients’ responses to care and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for the outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Requirements

Graduate of a state board School of Nursing.
Current Alabama or multi-state nursing licensure.
Experience is required; no duration is specified.
Obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers during the orientation period.
Obtain ACLS within the first six months of employment and maintain current certification.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently.
Knowledge of equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual.
Complete department-specific competencies within the provisional period.
