About The Position

The RN Float maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care according to patient needs, and evaluates patients’ responses and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for patient-care outcomes during the assigned shift. The Float RN serves as a resource for the ED, ICU, and Med Surg units.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Alabama or multistate nursing license.
• Obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers within three months of the orientation period.
• Obtain and maintain current ACLS within the first six months of employment.
• Obtain and maintain current PALS within the first six months of employment.
• Obtain MOAB within six months of the orientation period.

Responsibilities
