About The Position

Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse with clinical knowledge and supervisory experience to lead a team of clinicians as Clinical Director. The role oversees an interdisciplinary team of RNs, aides, social workers, and chaplains, and works closely with the Program Director, Hospice Physician, and Community Liaisons to support office operations, patient growth, and compliance with Federal, State, ACHC, and Alpha Omega Hospice guidelines. The position is based in the Carrollton territory and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Alpha Omega Hospice describes itself as a mission-driven, patient-centered provider of end-of-life care, focused on supporting patients and loved ones with dignity, comfort, and compassion. The Clinical Director coordinates patient services, supports and develops clinical staff, maintains quality and regulatory compliance, contributes to staff training and performance evaluation, and leads interdisciplinary care-planning discussions.

Requirements

Registered Nurse with a current state license to practice as a professional nurse in the state where the office is located.
At least 3 years of nursing experience, including 1 year of full-time direct patient care in hospice, home health, or oncology.
Demonstrated ability to manage terminal care, including crisis intervention, pain and symptom control, clinical bedside nursing, and family counseling.
Demonstrated ability to take a supportive and sensitive approach to staff and patient/family needs.
Computer proficiency, including typing and use of various programs, with an EMR background.
Current CPR certification if required by the state.
Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
1 year of supervisory experience in hospice or home health care preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee patient services to ensure alignment with established hospice program policies.
Guide and support clinicians and foster continuous improvement in hospice care services.
Conduct chart audits and oversee medical record maintenance for compliance with regulations, certification standards, and ethical care benchmarks.
Participate in developing orientation and in-service training for nursing and clinical staff.
Evaluate clinical staff performance during probationary periods and annually, providing teaching and counseling to improve service delivery.
Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to refine patient and family care plans, exchange insights, resolve challenges, and promote professional collaboration.
