RMA Technician - Repair Center
About The Position
The Repair Center Technician - General is responsible for supporting Repair Center operations through material handling, RMA processing, inventory transactions, equipment movement, shipping and receiving, operational documentation, and workflow coordination. Working under the direction of the Repair Center Lead and Supervisor, this position ensures efficient movement of materials throughout the Repair Center while maintaining accurate records, inventory integrity, and compliance with operational procedures. The Technician plays a critical role in supporting repair operations by ensuring products, components, and materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
- Ability to accurately perform inventory transactions and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
- Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment in accordance with company safety requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or technical training preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, manufacturing, repair operations, or RMA processing is preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, and inventory software is preferred.
- forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, unpack, identify, label, and process returned products and repair materials.
- Verify serial numbers, product information, shipping documentation, and repair records.
- Stage equipment for engineering evaluation, repair activities, testing, storage, or shipment.
- Package repaired equipment for outbound shipment following company standards.
- Perform inventory transactions within ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counting, stock replenishment, and warehouse organization.
- Organize parts, components, pallets, containers, and repair materials.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, scanning, and documentation.
- Support shipping, receiving, packaging, freight preparation, and warehouse logistics.
- Maintain accurate repair records, inventory documentation, shipping logs, and operational documentation.
- Perform barcode scanning, system updates, and data entry using ERP and business systems.
- Assist with operational reporting and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Support implementation of standardized work procedures and Lean initiatives.
- Participate in cross-training across Repair Center operational functions.
- Assist Leads and Supervisors with special operational projects as assigned.
