About The Position

The Risk Solutions internship is a comprehensive 10-week program for college students to gain exposure to all facets of the insurance industry from the broker perspective. Interns are embedded in various Risk Solutions teams, including specialty verticals, and contribute to real work for clients. Working alongside Associates, interns develop professional business skills and experience Lockton’s collaborative culture.

Interns collaborate with Lockton Associates, Producers, and carrier partners. The program offers collaborative training with real clients, coaching and feedback, networking and social activities, a summer mentor who helps manage daily workload, and an opportunity to participate in a local charitable service day.

Requirements

• Be a currently enrolled student scheduled to graduate in Spring 2028 or Fall/Winter 2027.
• Have strong customer service, communication, and project management skills.
• Have highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be comfortable working with Office Suite applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Show eagerness and enthusiasm to learn the insurance industry and grow within the company.
• Be able to multitask, adapt to change, and work to meet clients’ needs.
• Effectively manage time, prioritize, and meet requirements without compromising quality.
• Show initiative in personal development and the pursuit of technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Lockton account teams on key initiatives and daily servicing projects related to new and renewal business.
• Participate in off-site carrier visits and client presentations when available.
• Contribute positively to client satisfaction and strive to improve service to clients.
• Communicate professionally to contribute to a cohesive and pleasant work environment.
• Protect the confidentiality of information learned while performing the position’s duties.
