About The Position

Holmes Murphy/Creative Risk Solutions is seeking an intern for its 10-week Summer 2027 program at the West Des Moines, Iowa office. The internship provides hands-on exposure to the insurance industry through educational workshops and rotations across different lines of business. Interns will build communication skills through presentations, learn from industry experts and leaders, and participate in community activities and company culture. The position works with Creative Risk Solutions, a subsidiary of Holmes Murphy. The internship is paid and conducted onsite.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled or pursuing enrollment at a four-year institution.
• Enthusiasm, motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and contribute.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.
• Relevant fields of study may include Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Health Promotion, Risk Management & Insurance, or other majors.

Responsibilities

• Attach mail documents to claims.
• Set up new claims.
• Update claim information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Participate in educational workshops and rotations through different lines of business.
• Present and share learning with fellow interns and business leaders.
• Attend community activities.
