About The Position

The Vendor Risk Intern will join Rocket’s Vendor Risk Governance team and support efforts to ensure vendors meet security, reliability, and compliance standards. Working alongside experienced risk professionals, the intern will assist with due diligence on new vendors and ongoing monitoring of key vendor relationships. The role contributes to team priorities through hands-on project work, analytical tasks, and exploration of technology, including AI, to improve the speed and accuracy of risk processes.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a rising senior or a master’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
Exposure to legal, compliance, regulatory, or accounting controls concepts through coursework, internships, or projects.
Experience working in project-based or team-oriented settings.
Self-directed approach and strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Located within a commutable distance of the Cypress Waters office in Coppell, Texas.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with SharePoint.
Experience with or curiosity about AI tools such as Claude.

Responsibilities

Support project and change management efforts.
Perform gap analysis and contribute strategic recommendations to improve vendor risk processes.
Deliver reports, analyze metrics, and summarize information to support the team.
Help ensure accuracy and completeness in manual processes and documentation.
Identify and share ideas, including technology and AI-enabled approaches, to improve work processes.
Assist in creating materials and presentations for meetings.
Attend meetings, huddles, and trainings to learn about the business.
