About The Position

The Solutions Analyst Intern will support the Uber Freight Parcel Solutions team with solution design for sales and onboarding of the Parcel Transportation Management System (PTMS) product. The role offers hands-on experience translating customer business needs into technical designs. Under the mentorship of senior architects, the intern will shadow and assist with building solutions for Uber Freight customers or prospects at the intersection of supply chain logistics, software engineering, and customer strategy.

The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027, and requires full-time availability for 40 hours per week. The intern must be able to work in one of Uber Freight’s central hubs in Rogers, Arkansas, or Chicago, Illinois. The listed work arrangement is hybrid.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in MIS, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
• Ability to work in one of the central hubs in Rogers, AR, or Chicago, IL.

Nice To Haves

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in translating complex business concepts into technical terms for developers and business analysts.
• Proficiency with Google Office Suite and foundational AI tooling knowledge.
• Familiarity with or interest in project management and ticketing tools, such as JIRA.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
• A self-directed, energetic attitude and a passion for thrilling clients and improving supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and documenting customer business and technical requirements for Detailed Future State documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, onboarding, PTMS engineering, and project management teams to align product development with customer business requirements.
• Shadow senior Solution Architects during structured requirements-gathering sessions with customers and vendors.
• Research, process, and analyze data, including value stream mapping and process analysis, to support integrated TMS/PTMS solution design.
• Attend and support account status meetings and internal strategy sessions.
• Participate in Uber Freight intern meetings, seminars, learning opportunities, and end-of-summer project presentations.
