About The Position

Lockton is seeking summer interns to join its People Solutions team. During a comprehensive 10-week program, interns are embedded in teams and support the delivery of services and solutions for clients. Working alongside Associates, interns experience Lockton’s culture, develop business acumen, and build technical and interpersonal skills. Training covers employee benefits and the insurance industry, Lockton tools and resources, and essential consulting skills.

The program offers exposure to career growth opportunities, one-on-one coaching, networking with clients, teams, and carrier partners, and support from a summer mentor who helps manage daily workload. Interns may also participate in local community volunteer events. Housing is not provided; interns are responsible for securing their own housing.

Requirements

• Be a currently enrolled student scheduled to graduate in Spring 2028 or Fall/Winter 2027.
• Have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Have experience with customer service and/or project management.
• Be able to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Have strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Have experience working with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• A major in business, insurance, marketing, finance, statistics, or health sciences; students of all majors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with an active book of business for a wide variety of clients.
• Present to a client at a minimum of one meeting.
• Participate in the comprehensive training program to learn the fundamentals of employee benefits consulting.
• Assist with projects such as benefits renewal analysis and requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Support monthly client financial reporting and benchmarking exhibits comparing a client's benefit offering against normative data.
• Become familiar with contracts, communications materials, and company cost-sharing strategies.
