RF/MS IC Design Engineer, Optical Networking & SERDES
About The Position
MaxLinear is hiring RF/mixed-signal IC Design Engineers at all levels to develop high-speed connectivity solutions, with a focus on high-speed PAM4 SerDes and optical technologies. The role involves architecture, design, implementation, simulation, and verification of RF/mixed-signal systems and circuit IPs for SERDES and optical networking applications. Engineers will design key circuit blocks such as PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, DACs, and high-speed transceiver components, debug silicon issues, and work with cross-functional teams to bring ICs into volume production. The position offers a career growth path from staff engineer to senior design-team roles, with increasing technical responsibilities and leadership opportunities. MaxLinear is a fabless system-on-chip company developing RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for communications and connectivity markets. The company has approximately 1,200 employees and design centers in several locations worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience, or a Ph.D.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively on architecture, design, implementation, and verification of RF/mixed-signal systems for SERDES and optical networking applications.
- Architect, design, simulate, and verify RF and mixed-signal circuit IPs for high-speed SERDES and optical communication systems.
- Design and implement circuit blocks including PLLs, VCOs, ADCs, DACs, and high-speed transceiver components.
- Debug silicon issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to take ICs to volume production.
