About The Position

Broadcom is seeking a Physical IC Design Engineer for its Data Center Solutions Group at the company’s main campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role supports PCIe Switch Products for next-generation AI/ML ecosystems and Enterprise Storage Products for managing large data centers. It requires in-depth knowledge of the physical design process from RTL through silicon tape-out. The position must be performed in person at the Colorado Springs site; remote work is not allowed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• TCL/PERL scripting skills.
• Proficiency with related EDA tools.
• Experience with the full physical design cycle from RTL to tape-out.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• In-depth experience in top-level STA.
• In-depth experience in top-level floorplanning.

Responsibilities

• Execute physical design, synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure.
• Set up and synthesize RTL.
• Achieve timing closure using various methods and strategies, including top-level static timing analysis (STA).
• Perform EM/IR analysis.
• Perform place and route.
• Perform clock tree synthesis, including custom clock trees, insertion reduction, and skew balancing techniques.
• Perform floor-planning and layout, including top-level floorplanning.
• Develop flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with IC Design RTL Engineers.
